Today’s classes will be on the early-release schedule because of the Golden Throne assembly at 12:30.
Today is your last chance to get Rock Paper Scissors Necklaces, 2 for only $1. The two people who have the most necklaces by the end of the day today will do a best 2 out of 3 rock paper scissors at the assembly. The winner will get a $50 GIFT CARD OF THEIR CHOICE. We will be selling these necklaces during both lunches right at the Spirit Pack Booth.
TODAY is also the last day for the coin drive. Teachers, we have already taken the final count of the coins but if you want to continue competing past this morning, write the amount you have by the end of the day on the folder and bring it to the assembly. Students, if you have any last minute spare change make sure you bring that to ANY teacher in the building, because once again, every penny counts. And now to announce the teacher coin drive leader board. So far the teacher in 3rd place with $315 is Mr. Jacobs, Mr. Juhasz in 2nd with $610.03, and in first place so far with $823.36 is MRS.LATHEN!!!! We would also like to add that Jake Schmidt is dead last with only $6.
So far we are $8000 into our fundraising goals, meaning that the LHS DRUMLINE will perform at the Golden Throne assembly. Also, teacher of the year Mr. Golden Davey Steele, will have to dress up as Gru from Despicable Me for both of the Golden Throne Games. Doug Henderson will do the Dougie at the assembly and the anchors of the Bengal Update will get pied today during the Update. Great job fundraising everyone and keep that money rolling in.
Today’s Spirit Day theme is “ALL OUT Purple and Gold.” It’s important that you wear as much purple and gold as possible, especially at the game tonight because we are being judged on all different aspects of spirit Being able to see our purple and gold from across the gym is highly important.
As we all know, the Golden Throne is TONIGHT at the LCSC Activity Center! The girls’ game will start at 6pm and the boys’ game starts at 8pm. Doors will open at 5. This year we are the AWAY team meaning we are entering from the EAST entrance, which is the street entrance. We encourage everyone to come out and stay for both of the games because we need you all there!
We are now going to go over some golden throne etiquette. To start off it is important that we show good sportsmanship. As a collective group we can not be booing Clarkston, no matter how much we want to, because we want stay as positive as possible. To help with this, the cheerleaders will be doing spirit fingers for every free throw that clarkston throws and we encourage you to do the same. It is also important that you are not banging the inflatable bananas together because that would be considered a noise maker, which is not allowed at the Golden Throne game.
