Today for lunch there will be spicy Asian chicken, chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, and Big Daddy pizza.
Here are the items that will be auctioned at the Golden Throne Assembly on Friday.
- seven different FATHEADS. These will be characters of the movie Minions, and maybe some administrators too!
- a PARKING SPOT in the teachers lot. You will get to park in this spot for the rest of the year no matter the circumstances. You will no longer have to walk 2 miles from the back of the student parking lot to get to class when you have this glorious staff parking spot. Sorry Mr. Jacobs, they are taking your spot.
- FRONT ROW SEATS at the Golden Throne game. You and three of your friends get court side seats to the biggest game of the year.
- a RESERVED PARKING SPOT at LCSC tomorrow night. You wont have to find parking in the crazy general parking lot. Instead, you will get a special reserved spot right at the activity center.
- a picture with the one and only MR. STEELE. Mr. Steele has to smile for this picture with you and whoever else you want be included for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
- an EXTRA-LONG LUNCH for you and one of your friends. You will be excused from your class to be able to sit down and actually finish your lunch.
- a ROUND of GOLF at the Lewiston Country Club.
- a MYSTERY BOX. You wont get to know what is inside until you buy it!
Rock Paper Scissors necklace sales are still going on. Necklaces are 2 for $1. The 2 people on Friday that have the most necklaces will do a best 2 out of 3 rock paper scissors at the assembly. The winner will get a $50 GIFT CARD OF THEIR CHOICE. We will be selling these necklaces both lunches right at the Spirit Pack Booth.
The coin drive is in full swing and has so far been a very successful fundraiser. It is easy to forget your change at home or in the car, but every penny counts. If you don’t want to bring your change into school, there will be leadership members in the parking lot in the mornings collecting change. We want to reach our fundraising goal so please help in any way you can.
And now to announce the teacher coin drive leader board. So far the teacher in 3rd place is Mr. Steele with $57, Mrs, Carlson in 2nd with 60 dollars, and in first place so far with $88 is MR. JACOBS!!!! We would also like to add the Jake Schmidt is dead last with only $6.
So far we are $5500 into our fundraising goals, meaning that the LHS Drumline will perform at the Golden Throne assembly. Also,Teacher of the Year, Mr. Golden Davey Steele, will have to dress up as Gru from Despicable Me for both of the Golden Throne Games. As of yesterday, Doug Henderson will do the Dougie at the assembly. We are only $1000 away from the anchors of the Bengal Update getting pied on Friday. Great job fundraising everyone and keep that money rolling in.
Everyone in the Golden Throne half-time performance will be meeting today in one of the gyms. This week’s practices are mandatory if you want to perform at Golden Throne.
Today’s Spirit Day theme is “Rhyme without a Reason.” Tomorrow’s theme is “All-out Purple and Gold.”
For all girls who are interested in trying out for softball this year, there is a brief meeting after school today in Coach Roehl’s room SD 200. There continues to be softball open gyms from 3:00 to 4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the upper south gym. Come get some pre-season reps in.
