 Lewiston Bengal Tournament Info and Contest Sites:

Welcome to Lewiston High School athletics. Lewiston High School is a member of the Inland Empire League, which consists of three 5A schools and three 4A schools. The schools are Lewiston, Coeur d’Alene, Lake City of Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Moscow and Sandpoint. Lewiston, Coeur d’Alene and Lake City are the 5A schools in District 1 and 2 and are in the top division in the state of Idaho.

To qualify for state competition, there is a regional qualifying tournament for all sports except football. Volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, baseball teams get one and a half births to state. There is a district tournament or playoffs for the above teams after the conclusion of the season. The highest seed is the host team (based on season standings with all IEL teams). The #3 team at #2 loser out, the 3/2 winner at #1 seed with the winner advancing to state and the loser playing a team from district 3 (Boise Valley) at a neutral site between here and Boise. Basketball is a double elimination tournament with the highest seed hosting. Cross Country, wrestling, track, tennis and golf have a regional tournament that rotates sites year to year. In cross country the top half teams go to state and individual runners must finish in top third. Wrestling, track and tennis, the top two in each weight class/event go to state. Golf, the top team in district goes to state or team that meets qualifying score.
