Today for lunch there will be totchos, mini corndogs, and pepperoni rippers.

The National Honor Society is having a drive for Family Promise. Donations can be dropped off in Ms. Bakker’s room (ST210). Supplies on Family Promises’ wish list include paper towels, diapers, baby wipes, fabric softener sheets, feminine care products, deodorant, toiletries, and kitchen supplies.

The winter dance will be a Sadie’s dance on December 10th. The theme for the dance will be “dynamic duos.” Tickets are being sold at both lunches for $5. If you’d like to bring a non-LHS guest to the dance, please get a “Guest Dance Permission Form” from the administration office and turn it in by Wednesday, December 7.

Want to bring a little Christmas cheer to someone this season?  Come check out the Counseling Center’s “Angel Tree.”  Feel free to choose an ornament off of the tree, purchase the gift on the ornament, and return it to the counseling center by December 14th so gifts can be delivered on time.  Gifts will go to students who need a little cheer this season. If you don’t see an ornament that matches your style, be creative – we’ll accept any gift! Do you have any needs this Christmas?  Talk to your counselor and we’ll put your needed items on an ornament.

Which teacher has the Heart of a Bengal? Students and faculty, It’s time to nominate your favorite teacher for the month of December. Please do not nominate our previous winners. Scan the QR Code to make your nomination. Don’t forget to write WHY you have chosen this teacher. Nominations will be collected until December 14th.

Issues of the Bengal’s Purr will be available during 4th hour today – make sure to grab one to keep up on everything LHS.

Junior girls interested in participating in Distinguished Young Women this year can meet in Mrs. Bakker’s room, ST 210 for an informational meeting after school Tuesday.

Beginning on Monday December 5th, the LHS Annual Holiday Food Drive will be kicking off!  Donate non-perishable goods in your English, Social Studies or Science classroom anytime between the 5th and the 14th of December to help us meet our goals. The class that has the highest donation weight will run the Bengal update after the break!  Every other class will have a “special” task at the Holiday assembly. Freshman Teachers: Mr. Schaper and Ms. Hasenoehrl, Sophomore: Ms. Delp and Mr. Lockard, Junior: Mr. Jacobs and Ms. Bakker, Senior: Mr. Pancheri and Ms. Larson. You can start donating on Monday morning.

Students interested in submitting a design for this year’s Golden Throne t-shirt contest can come see Mr. Steele in DTEC 405 for details.

The theme for Tonight’s 7pm Varsity Boys Basketball game will be “Western.”

There will also be a varsity basketball game tomorrow at 1pm, and the theme is “PJs.”
