The National Honor Society is having a drive for Family Promise. Donations can be dropped off in Ms. Bakker’s room (ST210). Supplies on Family Promises’ wish list include paper towels, diapers, baby wipes, fabric softener sheets, feminine care products, deodorant, toiletries, and kitchen supplies.

The winter dance will be a Sadie’s dance on December 10th. The theme for the dance will be “dynamic duos.” Tickets will be sold at both lunches for $5. If you’d like to bring a non-LHS guest to the dance, please get a “Guest Dance Permission Form” from the administration office and turn it in by Wednesday, December 7.

Want to bring a little Christmas cheer to someone this season?  Come check out the Counseling Center’s “Angel Tree.”  Feel free to choose an ornament off of the tree, purchase the gift on the ornament, and return it to the counseling center by December 14th so gifts can be delivered on time.  Gifts will go to students who need a little cheer this season. Don’t see an ornament that matches your style?  Be creative – we’ll accept any gift! Do you have any needs this Christmas?  Talk to your counselor and we’ll put your needed items on an ornament!

Hey Bengals! Are you ready to hear who is the December Teacher of the month? Thank you for submitting your nominations. This teacher will receive a bookmark and certificate, and they will get to park in the Teacher of the Month parking space. A special thanks to Lewiston Civic Theatre for sponsoring this month’s Heart of a Bengal and graciously donated 4 tickets to the show “Elf”. Here are some quotes from the nominations: “They are the kindest teacher, make everyone feel welcome and care about their students.” “They help students when they are struggling and encourage good working habits” “They are a big fan of country and rock music and have a great attitude.”

The October Heart of the Bengal Award goes to Colton Maddy. Congratulations, Mr. Maddy!
