February has many opportunities for seniors. On February 9th, BSU will be visiting at 8:30 to discuss next steps for seniors. On February 15th, LCSC will have a senior visit at 9am. On February 16th, ISU will be here at 1pm for students planning to attend next year. To sign up for any of these events or for more information, go to the Counciling Center.

This week is Spirit Week, leading up to Golden Throne tomorrow night. Today is Farm and Barnyard day, and we can’t wait to see your farmer attire. Finally, tomorrow will be all-out Bengal Pride.

Students attending Golden Throne should look at the graphic for LHS’s designated parking area. LHS fans are to park in the highlighted purple area only. There is to be no parking on cemetery grounds or residential lawns. You can find this map posted on the LHS Bengals Instagram story or in the Golden Throne story highlight.

Leadership will be selling spirit packs starting next week including this year’s Golden Throne shirt (designed by Emma Cuddy), thunder sticks, and a headband. Be sure to pick yours up ASAP as there were only 300 packs with thunder sticks, and they are running low. First come first serve!

Tickets for Golden Throne are being sold for 5 dollars in the main office.

Make sure to purchase your spirit links from any of your teachers. Links are one for twenty five cents or five for a dollar. At the end of the day Friday we will combine all of these links and bring them to the throne. CHS will also be doing spirit links so make sure you purchase those today and tomorrow so we can show Clarkston how it’s done.

Tomorrow is the much anticipated Golden Throne assembly! At the assembly we will be completing incentives that we reached throughout the week. For 500 dollars raised there will be a drumline performance, 1500 is a special dance performance, and so on including admin pie, walking on lego race, Seyi and Payton bleaching their eyebrows, Annika dying her hair, Coach Malm eating out of the Golden Throne, and Jack shaving his head. So make sure you donate so we can do all those things and more at the assembly.

The Golden Throne assembly also includes the yearly auction where students can bid on a VIP Golden Throne parking spot, front row seats, a spot on Malm’s bench during Friday’s game, an hour-long lunch, the infamous selfie with Mr. Steele smiling, and admin fat heads.

All of the activities this week raise money for charity. This year’s Golden Throne’s proceeds will go to four charities that were chosen by LHS and CHS leadership. This year we will be donating to the Tefft Family, suicide prevention in the Inland Northwest, Habitat for Humanity, and United Way.
