Today for lunch there will be chicken patties, mini corndogs, and pepperoni ripper.

Reminder: students should park in the student parking lot and not in the staff, visitors, or DTEC parking areas.

Students who would like to take Welding next semester should see their counselor as soon as possible.  Students must be a sophomore or older to take the class.

Junior girls wanting to participate in DYW this year: there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, January 10th at 7 pm at the Lewiston Community Center. There will be paperwork to fill out, so please bring a copy of your birth certificate and $25 for fitness/opening number supplies. Contact Ashlee Grunenfelder at Lewiston@distinguishedyw.org.

FCCLA will have a meeting after school on Tuesday.

Juniors—The SAT will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 8am here at LHS. Registration for the SAT is taking place this week, and the last day to sign up will be this Friday, January 13, 2023 by the end of the school day. If you would like to take advantage of this educational opportunity, please go to the Counseling Center or see Mrs. Hobson to get signed up.

Seniors- the Idaho Department of Lands is looking for help for this summer’s fire season. They are looking for those who might be interested following graduation. They have jobs ranging from firefighters to resource aids. Students interested can scan the QR code or see Mr. Schaper for more information.

If you have applied to a college, university, or trade school for fall 2023 semester, please contact the school you applied to, and ask if they need a 7th semester transcript. If so, please see Mrs. Kerns in the Counseling Center.   

Over the weekend the wrestling team competed at The Gutcheck wrestling tournament – rated as one of the top 10 toughest tournaments on the entire west coast. Individually we came home with 4 medals: Freshman Kamryn Lockart placed 7th, Senior Cassidy Rehder placed 5th, Junior Hoyt Hvass placed 2nd, and the 2023 Gutcheck Heavyweight Champion is Lewiston’s very own senior, Big Rob Storm! As a team the Bengals placed 10th out of nearly 60 schools. Up next the Bengals battle Moscow High School on Wednesday evening right here at home.

Make sure to congratulate the LHS cheer team for their qualification to cheer nationals.
