Students in the Bengals in the Making Brave Block group at Sacajawea Middle School honored Veterans Day through meaningful, hands-on activities. Students made cards for veterans, learned about the different branches of the military, completed themed puzzles, and read the book America’s White Table. School Resource Officer Smith, a Marine veteran, also visited to share his experiences and talk with students about service to our country.

Orchards Elementary third graders had the chance to learn braille today with the help of Cynda Hyndman and Gayle Worthington. It was an amazing hands-on look at another way people communicate, and such a powerful real-life learning experience for students. We are grateful that students in our district get opportunities like this!
