What does a school bus driver do?
Drivers safely transport students on daily routes and special events, ensure buses are in safe operating condition, and create a positive environment for students as they travel to and from school.
Requirements:
· At least 21 years of age
· Valid driver’s license and insurability
· Ability to obtain a CDL with school bus endorsement (training provided)
· Fingerprint/background clearance, DOT physical, and drug/alcohol testing clearance

Michelle Washburn is always working to make the Whitman Elementary library a fun, creative, and imaginative space for students. Her incredible dragon artwork brings reading and stories to life! This new addition is named Dewey. After a few weeks of going over the Dewey Decimal System, they had a contest to name him and the overall response was "Dewey!"




The Role:
• Plan, organize, and coordinate transportation operations
• Manage day-to-day office tasks and scheduling
• Provide clerical support and assist staff in their work
• Evaluate and resolve incidents, complaints, or accidents
• Serve as dispatcher in critical situations
• Train bus drivers and evaluate driving skills
• Keep students safe and support high levels of learning for ALL students
