There were 32 teams made up of 113 readers from 7 elementary schools who spent 5 months reading 16 books that added up to 3805 pages!
Teams competed in 5 weekly battles at their schools and answered 80 different trivia-style questions. All the teams together earned more than 2440 points. The top 12 teams, who earned 55% of the total points from all battles, competed in the district battle at LHS on April 12, 2025.
The district battle consisted of 11 teams that competed in 3 rounds of pool play. The top-scoring 8 teams moved on to a single-elimination competition to determine the top team.
The top team was the Cucumber Cats from Camelot Elementary! 2nd place was the Reading Rockstars, also from Camelot. Third place was the Words of Wisdom from McSorely.

LHS staff and leadership students greeted students at the door with snacks to kick off the first day of testing, which they are calling the "World Series of Testing!" Lewiston Police Department cooked hot dogs for students to get ready for three days of assessments this week. Go Bengals, you've got this!
