On Monday, May 11, 2020, the Board of Directors for the Independent School District No. 1 voted to extend the soft closure of the schools through the rest of the 2019-2020 school year.
While continuing with remote learning, schools are also preparing year end procedures. This includes ensuring students are able to collect their personal belongings from their desks which were left when we moved to the soft closure. This would also be the time to return mobile devices and any other school resources.
Classroom teachers, administrators, and instructional assistants will remove student items from desks and and place in a bag for students to collect.
For the safety of everyone involved, we will follow CDC guidelines and provide a “car-hop” service during the times below. Please begin lining up on Grelle Avenue. Families simply need to drive in front of the school and wait in their vehicle. We will have stations set up for returning ipads, gathering supplies from classrooms, returning medicine and a treat! Please remain in your vehicle and in line.
