P.E. Ponderings

As a P.E. Teacher my goal is to emphasize fitness not only in my P.E. classes but also life in general.  Over the many years I have been a Physical Educator I have noticed a couple of changes to my total population of students’ fitness levels.   Through my “P.E. Ponderings” I hope to touch on a few trends that hopefully will help you in the choices you advocate for your own children that I have the pleasure of teaching.

One of the issues that I bring up to my students is “just go outside and you will be active.”  I tell them by going outside, they will naturally be more active.  As it turns out, this has been studied and I was lucky enough to happen on this article and it made sense.  Hopefully it makes sense to you too.

Happy health to all of you!
