Reminder as the start to the 2026-2027 school year approaches.

Idaho Public Schools are required by Idaho Code 33-1639 to observe a daily minute of silence.

This notice is to inform you that beginning July 1, 2026 all Lewiston School District schools will observe one minute of silence at or near the beginning of each school day.

During this minute, your student may sit quietly or engage in any silent activity that is consistent with school rules and District policy as long as it doesn’t distract or interfere with other students.
