On Tuesday, November 11th, Camelot held its annual "Veterans Day Assembly" for students and staff, including over 70+ Veterans visitors for a morning of celebration, remembrance and reflection. Camelot students and staff invited family and friends who currently serve or have served in our nation's military accompanied with cookies and drinks at the conclusion of the assembly.
Students also created various "Veterans Day" art pieces and they were all hung on the gym walls as Veterans arrived.

The "Veterans Day Assembly" began with assembly organizer and music extraordinaire, Mrs. Schwartz leading our Camelot Choir with "The Star - Spangled Banner"
.
The next segment involved 4th graders from Mrs. Albright's class that informed us about the various Branches of the Military and what each branch is responsible for.

This lead in to the second performance from the Camelot Choir where they sang a beautiful version of "American Everyday"
The next performance was "The Stars & Stripes Forever" performed by the Camelot Choir and Camelot Morning Band.
The grand finale included the entire Camelot Student Body performing "The Brave". This included Kindergarten - 5th Grade students singing directly to all of our Veterans that attended the assembly.
We also wanted to give one special shout - out to Mimi Perez!! Mimi played the beautiful piano you heard as the backdrop for all of our Camelot Choir and Morning Band performances. This assembly would not have been possible without your contribution.
