April is National Poetry month and to celebrate, this month's Genre Quest is POETRY! There are some wonderful books of poetry at our school library. Who doesn't love "There was an Old Lady" stories. She swallows books, a frog, a bat, snow, and so much more. Read one of the stories or all of them. One of my favorite poetry books is "I Like Myself!" by Karen Beaumont. Learn to like yourself even if you do have beaver breath. Oh, and Pig the Pug! Those are some fun little poetry stories. Older students may like "Inside Out and Back Again" by Thanhha Lai or "Finding Wonders" by Jeannine Atkins. There are so many choices to read when trying to earn your April Genre Quest badge.
