We are hiring school bus drivers!
Why drive for ISD No. 1?
· Pay: $20.61 – $23.08 per hour
· Paid training provided – no prior experience required
· Meaningful work transporting and supporting our students
· Benefits: CDL training, competitive benefit plan including PERSI retirement, sick leave, holiday pay, a positive work environment, and the chance to make a daily difference in students’ lives
What does a school bus driver do?
Drivers safely transport students on daily routes and special events, ensure buses are in safe operating condition, and create a positive environment for students as they travel to and from school.
Requirements:
· At least 21 years of age
· Valid driver’s license and insurability
· Ability to obtain a CDL with school bus endorsement (training provided)
· Fingerprint/background clearance, DOT physical, and drug/alcohol testing clearance

Michelle Washburn is always working to make the Whitman Elementary library a fun, creative, and imaginative space for students. Her incredible dragon artwork brings reading and stories to life! This new addition is named Dewey. After a few weeks of going over the Dewey Decimal System, they had a contest to name him and the overall response was "Dewey!"
