Tammany High School

FCCLA NEWS: Tammany High School won 2 bronze and 2 silver medals. Alora Alexander, Brenden Lessor, Eliza Nick and Kaylee Collins all had very tough competition this year with nearly 50 other competitors (combined amount in 4 different events). It's the biggest turnout in years! They were all very proud, represented Tammany well, and had a great experience.

DONUTS FOR SCHOLARS: 51% of students qualified for Donuts for Scholars last week. That number needs to go up, up, up! 4th quarter goes by quickly. Do not wait to get your grades up.

TESTING: ISAT testing will begin on April 29 and go through May 13. Be sure to get lots of rest, a good breakfast, and try your best to ensure accurate scores.

GRADUATION SLIDESHOW: Have you turned in ALL your information for the slideshow? You need to include a baby photo, senior photo, quote, future plans and a favorite song (all school appropriate). Please do not procrastinate on this. The class code in Google Classroom is sw7bxsm (case sensitive).

SENIORS-IMPORTANT REMINDER: Have you ordered your cap & gown?!?! If not, go to https://directgrad.com ASAP. Gowns are solid black with a sold purple tassel. The deadline was last week; so you may be charged a late fee at this point.

PROGRESS REPORTS: Progress reports will be mailed April 24.

THS TIGER MASCOT: There is a box in front of the office to submit name suggestions for the THS  Tiger Mascot. On April 25, the yearbook committee will narrow the suggestions down to 3 names and students will get the chance to vote for their top pick. Hurry to get your ideas turned in!

THS YEARBOOKS: Jamie and her dedicated students have worked hard to create a yearbook for the 24-25 school year. Their goal is to make the yearbooks free to every student, but they need our help! Money jars are in various classrooms and in the lunch room. As of right now, $76.43 has been raised towards the cost of publishing. Thank you to all that have donated. Every penny counts!!! Let's keep it going!

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK: Show your hardworking, dedicated teachers some respect with kind words during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9). Tammany has the BEST teachers and they are very valued. Thank you for everything you do for THS!

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES: Conferences for quarter 4 are April 30 from 5-7 PM.

PROM - (formal dance for juniors & seniors) is May 3, from 7-10. Sophomores & Freshman can go as guest. Reminder: If you would like to invite a non LHS/THS guest, they need to be approved by the Administration. A form can be picked up in the THS office. It must be signed and returned at least 3 days before the dance. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

SPRING FLING: LHS Spring Fling (formal dance for sophomores & freshman) is May 2nd, 7:00-10:00. Juniors & Seniors can go as dates.
