The year 2026 has started with a bang! There is so much to share with you.
Our first-grade teacher, Ms. Gabby Johnson, was offered a position as a PE/Music teacher at another elementary. We are going to miss her, but what a great opportunity! Ms. Johnson will be just as wonderful in this position as she is at being a first-grade teacher. Mrs. Jessica Harper will be stepping in as the first-grade teacher starting on the 20th. Mrs. Harper was a second-grade teacher several years ago. She recently has been a part of the Title One team which allowed her more flexibility to be with her family.
Our district “Fill the Bus” event collected 8,732 pounds of much needed food for the Community Action Food Bank and the Salvation Army Food Bank. Good job Mrs. Cornell’s third grade class for collecting the most food. You deserved the donut party.
The Golden Throne overall winner was Clarkston High School. Lewiston and Clarkston High Schools raised $24,800 for their chosen charities. Kudos to both these schools and the wonderful students that made this happen.
