The Book Cafe was opened recently in the Orchards library. On the "menu" were "Second Chance Stories". The students sampled books that hadn't been checked out in 5 or more years. Each table had an array of titles to choose from and make recommendations on. Several "hidden gems" were discovered. Among the gem list was "Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja" by Marcus Emerson, "The Dragon Sitter", by Josh Lacy, the "Dive" series and "Island" series by David Gorman and the original Nancy Drew books. Thank you, Ms. Wenzel, for helping Orchards students find that next, best book.
