Orchards Stem and Story Night was a big hit!
A huge thank you to our PTA for all of their help with the book fair. There was a line that wrapped around from the time the doors opened until we closed! Another big thank you to those who helped run stations and make the fun happen. The kids had a blast!!
We had 70 families come through the doors, for a total of 126 kids and 94 adults! When asked how we can support out families with reading at home, most parents asked for books to read with their child. Access to classroom materials (sound spelling cards, tools/anchor charts we use within the classroom, etc.), quick tips to support reading, and 5 minute activities were also frequently chosen. Every child left with free books to keep.
