Starting a new school year is so exciting! It’s been fun to see all our new kindergarteners. Welcome class of 2032! And just look at all our other grades. They have gotten taller in just a short few months. Welcome student families to your Orchards’ Elementary family
Orchards’ PTA will have their first meeting of the school year on September 10th. We will be meeting in room 9 at 6pm. Remember to become a PTA member by September 27th for a chance to win a $50 Hot Shots gift card or a $50 KC’s Burgers and Brews gift card. Check out more PTA info on their Facebook page.
Dates to remember are September 2nd: Labor Day – no school, September 3rd: we will have our first fire drill of the year and the Lewiston Fire Department will be watching us. September 4th: Fall Picture Day. Wear your smile☺. September 18th: Our first Early Release Day. Orchards students will have lunch at their regular time. They will be dismissed from school at 1:40. Don’t forget the County Fair! Student tour day is September 19th. Keep your eye out for information from your student’s teacher.
Counselor’s Corner: Our counselor will be around to each classroom each week to share “The Zones of Regulation” curriculum. Feelings come in all sizes and so do we. Mrs. Haag will share with us how important and special feelings are. She will help us recognize our feelings. All feelings are normal to have but sometimes we need to “Regulate” the intensity of them. She will give us some special tools and exercises to help us with that.
