Sophomores and juniors – if you are interested in taking the PSAT, please stop by the Counseling Center and sign up between now and next Friday the 13th. The PSAT will be held on October 16th here at LHS. This educational opportunity is free to any sophomore who wants to take the PSAT and juniors will pay $18 so that they can receive their score report. Juniors who take the PSAT are eligible to become a National Merit Scholar. See Mrs. Hobson for any questions you may have regarding the PSAT.
Are you interested in going to Ireland, Scotland and England in the summer of 2026? Stop by Mr. Autrey’s room (ST 213) or Ms. Strolberg’s Room (ST 203) for more details. There will be a parent informational meeting on Tuesday September 17 at 6pm in Mr. Autrey’s room.
Want to join Key Club? We are a volunteer and leadership group who gives back to the community and our school. We meet every other Monday from 2:30-3pm. Our next meeting is September 23rd.
The Art Club will be holding its first meeting on Thursday the 19tth at 2:30 in room CW 100. The Art Club provides a space for anyone interested in the visual arts to develop new skills and techniques while also collaborating with other like-minded folks. It is a great opportunity to meet new people and explore new ways of making.
The Gay Straight Alliance or GSA club will be holding its first meeting on Tuesday the 17th at 2:30 in room CW 100. The GSA club is an opportunity for LGBTQIA+ students and their allies to meet, speak to the issues of the day, and create a stronger community by working together.
If you are interested in joining the Youth Bowling League, sign-ups will start next week. The first practice will be Wednesday, 9/18 at 4:00pm at Orchard Lanes. We will meet every Wednesday at 4 for 10 weeks.
Are you interested in participating in sword duels? The first meeting of the LHS Fencing Club will be on Wednesday, September 18th. The club will feature instruction on both fencing and longsword fighting techniques, as well as one-on-one student duels. This first meeting is very important in order to figure out schedules, so please show up.
The LHS Bengal Drama Club is proud to present its senior show, Murder by Membership Only, which will be performed on September 11th, 12th, and 14th at 7:00pm in the P1FCU Performing Arts Center. Make sure to come and show your Bengal Pride and support our amazing senior actors! They have worked so hard and can’t wait to show you what they’ve been working on!
Auditions for LHS Drama Club’s fall play Much Ado About Nothing will be held Thursday, September 19th, after school in the auditorium. For schedule conflicts, please contact Mrs. Syverson or a Drama Club officer prior to auditions.
Congrats to sophomore Lucas Clements and Freshman Addisyn Storm, who both finished first place at the Clarkston Cross Country Seaport Invitational Wednesday. Addisyn led her team to a first place finish along with Ali Van Mullem, Emma Pelletier, Lela Rehder and Elise Godfrey. The boys team finished second overall. Congrats Bengal cross country!!
