Kindergarten Kickoff – Tuesday February 25, 6pm

What was your favorite thing about kindergarten? Camelot teacher, Lori Atchley, says her “favorite thing about kindergarten is getting to see the growth from the students, knowing that they will be readers and writers when they leave kindergarten and that is an important skill they need to have on their journey.”

Lewiston School District’s Kindergarten Kickoff event for the Class of 2038, will take place on Tuesday, February 25, for all children within the district who will turn five before September 1, 2025, and their families.

Join Idaho’s Superintendent of the Year, Lance Hansen, Joe Bengal, teachers, principals, and the rest of the Lewiston School District kindergarten crew for a special night of information.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and a presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the P1FCU Performing Arts Center on the Lewiston High School campus. Children and their families will learn about the seven elementary schools, have the opportunity to ask questions, and meet some special people who will provide important services to our students.

Children and parents will have the chance to meet and ask questions of school nurses, special education services, transportation, and food service personnel.  Students and families will also learn about what documents they need for enrollment and subsequent kindergarten events such as Twin County United Way Kinder Boot Camp.

The FCCLA Club will be on hand to provide an activity center for children.

We hope you will join us on Tuesday, February 25, at 6:00 p.m.

Enrollment begins March 1, so don’t miss this important event which will prepare students and families for the beginning of their educational career. “From kinder to career, it all starts here!”
