The Independent School District #1’s network contains over 1800+ computers, 2400+ IPads, 3300+ Chromebooks, 22 miles of fiber optic cable, and over 6000 users. As well as wireless networks serving every school in the district. Needless to say, the connectivity of all these minds and tools is an exciting and challenging task. Due to the growing interest in the application of technology in education, our duties have expanded exponentially, and continue to grow daily. We currently house over 100 servers/network appliances which run a mix of various Windows Server and Linux builds.
