In an effort to spread kindness and help those in need during Homeless Awareness month, our 3^rd grade classes collected items and assembled “homeless kits.” The goal was to gather enough items to make 50 kits. We happily exceeded our goal and made more than 150 kits that we donated to the ROC in Lewiston. Students made three different types of kits. One kit contained toiletry items, one had warming items such as hats, gloves, and socks, and another kit contained mostly food items.
