Substitute Teachers and Instructional Assistants Wanted!
The Lewiston Independent School District #1 is seeking substitute teachers and instructional assistants to join us in moving students toward success. We believe that students are the center of the educational process and invite you to learn more about becoming a substitute in the District.

• Substitute Teachers:
o Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and possess 32 credits post high school education or be certified as a para-professional; contact us for more information about becoming certified as a paraprofessional.
o Wage: $75-$85/day.

• Substitute Instructional Assistants:
o Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
o $10.70/hr. Requires HS diploma or equivalent

R3 Day of Learning with Baruti Kafele

On October 5th the Lewiston School District offered their first, “R3 Day of Learning” which was a district wide professional development day full of sessions that focused on effective classroom and school leadership strategies. The day started with a Keynote from Principal Baruti Kafele!
