On March 13, 2018, the residents of the Lewiston School District voted to renew the supplemental levy with a 82% voter approval. The supplemental levy provides approximately 30% of the District’s general fund budget. Revenue from the supplemental levy allows the District to maintain current programs and services that are not funded by the state. Because of the supplemental levy the District is able to continue to provides services to students in key areas:
- Additional certified staff (24), allowing Lewiston to provide small class sizes.
- Additional classified staff (164) providing classroom support, maintenance, custodial, and administrative services.
- Enhanced curricular offerings: elementary music/band /choir; wide range of secondary electives.
